Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (TaLIC):

We work in partnership with Goldsmiths’ staff, supporting excellence in teaching and learning through innovative practices, training, and resources. The Centre’s Director is Dr Fiona Handley, and the team comprises 10 members.

About the role:

The Digital Education and Innovation Manager will develop Goldsmiths’ digital education strategies, manage the TEL team, oversee learning technologies, and collaborate on digital innovation projects. The role involves strategic decision-making, external liaison, and fostering an accessible digital culture aligned with institutional goals. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, such as Moodle LMS administration, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive digital education initiatives.

Main Duties:

  • Contribute to digital education strategy development and evaluation
  • Lead and manage the TEL team
  • Manage learning technologies, liaising with partners and IT&DS
  • Plan and evaluate TEL team’s work
  • Participate in committees and working groups
  • Develop policies supporting digital innovation
  • Align with institutional objectives and external metrics
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, copyright, and accessibility standards
