The post is responsible for providing professional expertise to the outcome of the business processes for the Digital Development and Automation Team.
The post holder will manage and develop a small team of engineers in the delivery of RPA (UiPath), ITSM (ServiceNow), MS SQL server, bespoke web development and application support across the HBL partnership. The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery.
Working as part of a 24/7 on-call escalation rota, it is a requirement of the post to be able to make judgements based on own interpretation of often highly complex and multi-stranded issues where the impact may have adverse effects (i.e. making the decision to invoke DR) across all functions within HBLICT.
Responsible as line manager for the Digital Development and Automation Team. Ensuring that policies and procedures as set out by HR frameworks are adhered to and where necessary invoke disciplinary, performance management.
Manage the Digital Development and Automation Team in providing a proactive application development and support function, delivering services to customers as per relevant Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Working with Business Analysts, the post holder will identify processes that are suitable for automation and provide recommendations to reengineer processes to improve automation potential.
The post holder will manage central repository database and systems development and deployment across the HBL Partnership utilising a wide range of software products and applications.
Responsible for the management and performance of a team of software development and support specialists, providing 3rd/4th line escalation and delivery of projects both internally and externally across the partnership.
HBL ICT Shared Services was established in 2015 to provide comprehensive ICT services to six partner organisations, with each partner organisation having an equal say in the strategic direction of the ICT service. HBL ICT is not a legal entity and therefore is hosted be Herts & West Essex ICB who in turn are one of the partnering organisations.
HBL ICT is a self-funding service with an operational turnover of circa £10m per annum, which is derived from a recipe of income from seven partner organisations, plus other NHS clients within the local health economy.
