Job Summary

At PHOENIX, we have ambitious plans to digitalise our core business and are expanding our in-house development capabilities to meet this challenge. We are passionate believers in the benefits of low code, with OutSystems as our platform of choice. Initially, we’re focusing on the UK, with ambitions to create a competence centre and offer OutSystems capabilities across the wider European PHOENIX Group.

We’re a key player in the UK healthcare market, operating over 300 pharmacies and a national distribution network supplying medicines to pharmacies, doctors, and hospitals daily. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to the health of the nation.

Responsibilities

As part of a small, cross-functional team, you will contribute at all stages of the project:

  • Collaborate with your team to create customer journey maps to understand experiences and identify improvements.
  • Work directly with customers to create wireframes and prototypes exploring solutions.
  • Build solutions using the OutSystems Low Code Application Platform.
  • Integrate with other business applications via RESTful APIs.
  • Perform quality assurance, including writing integration tests.
  • Conduct usability testing.
  • Troubleshoot live applications.
Knowledge and Skills

Essential:

  • Proficiency in web-based languages: HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Good understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.

Desirable:

  • Experience with OutSystems or similar low-code platforms, or traditional development experience using C# or Java.
  • OutSystems training will be provided for those transitioning from traditional development.
  • Experience with lean and agile methodologies, tools like Jira, QA, and testing, including unit and integration tests.
  • OutSystems certification is a plus.
