Middleweight Digital Designer & Developer

Green Shoots Recruitment Ltd is looking for an experienced Middleweight Digital Designer & Developer, who enjoys variety in your role and likes working on diverse projects with interesting challenges, we might just have the position for you!

The role is for a creative Digital Designer/WordPress Developer to help build new websites and maintain a selection of existing hosted websites. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design and 3+ years web development experience with a proven track record of managing the website build and development lifecycle. Websites are principally created in WordPress so a sound knowledge of this platform is essential. As well as working on websites, you will also have the opportunity to develop HTML5 banners using Adobe Animate with the potential to progress to more advanced animation skills through training.

Maybe your current role centres on dev but you’d like to do more design or perhaps you’re a creative with some web dev capability and would like a role that encompasses both? They will also consider Designers with some Wordpress knowledge who wants to develop within the role. With regard to the motion graphic element of the role, if you’d previously used Flash training will be offered in Animate.

What you'll be doing

Ongoing maintenance of clients’ websites

Liaising with clients to take briefs, problem-solve and advise on best practice

Managing the deployment of new solutions and updates to existing websites

Liaising within the team to ensure all client deadlines are met

Developing HTML5 banners
