Job summary

Reed Technology is seeking a Digital Designer to join a collaborative team working on websites, mobile apps and bespoke digital solutions for public sector and regulated organisations.

You’ll drive the full design lifecycle from concept through to front-end implementation, creating accessible, user-centered experiences that balance creativity with functionality. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, along with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a digital design role.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong creative and technical capabilities.
• Experience delivering projects from discovery through to front-end build.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of accessibility principles and WCAG 2.2 standards.
• Experience using Figma or similar prototyping tools.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
• Confident communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all designs and builds align with WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
• Contribute to projects built on CMS platforms such as WordPress and Umbraco.
• Present design concepts and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Work closely with developers to ensure design intent is effectively translated into technical delivery.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices.
• Participate in discovery workshops and client-facing activities, with opportunities to develop facilitation skills.

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Design, Digital Media or a related discipline.
