Job description

Established in 1976, we are a full-service advertising, design, digital, PR, social media agency and sign manufacturer, based on the edge of Leicester. We see ourselves as very much service driven and are proud that many of our clients have worked with us for decades, a testament to our commitment and passion at building strong relationships with our clients and producing great work. Our portfolio of clients predominantly operates in the property and construction sector, and we work with some of the highest profile developers across the UK.

THE ROLE

As we celebrate 50 years as an agency, we’re proud of everything that has brought us here, but we’re even more excited about what comes next. We’re looking for an ambitious Digital Designer to play an important role in shaping the next chapter of our creative and digital offering.

You’ll be a digitally focused, versatile designer with strong graphic design foundations and the ability to develop ideas across a range of projects. You’ll combine creative thinking with technical understanding, taking ideas from concept through to final delivery.

You’ll have a strong understanding of designing for digital platforms, confidence using Figma and a good working knowledge of UX/UI, accessibility and responsive design. You’ll help strengthen our digital thinking across the creative team, building on our existing approach and introducing new ideas and ways of working. You’ll also collaborate with our web developers where required to ensure designs are practical to deliver and work effectively across different platforms.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who is curious about the future of the creative industry and excited by AI, emerging technologies and new creative tools. You’ll explore how these can be responsibly incorporated into our processes to enhance creative output and improve workflows. From image generation and enhancement to concept development and creative production, you’ll experiment confidently, recognise where these tools add genuine value and help the wider team use them effectively.

Your digital and technical mindset will be what sets you apart. This is a varied role where you’ll also apply your creativity across wider studio projects, so strong all-round design skills, adaptability and a willingness to turn your hand to different types of work are essential.

You’ll become part of an established team of designers, artworkers and motion designers, collaborating across web development, client services and paid media teams.

Above all, you’ll be enthusiastic, driven and proactive, with the initiative to take responsibility for your work. You’ll communicate clearly, take pride in delivering work to a consistently high standard and enjoy collaborating as part of a busy team, while also being confident working independently.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES (BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
  • Interpreting briefs and developing creative concepts for digital assets, platforms and wider studio projects.
  • Designing for digital platforms using Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, including responsive websites, landing pages, email campaigns, social content and digital advertising
  • Applying UX/UI, accessibility and responsive design principles to produce clear, engaging and effective work
  • Collaborating effectively with designers, web developers and client services teams
  • Exploring and responsibly using AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows and production.
  • Identifying where new tools can add value, improve workflows and enhance the quality or efficiency of our creative output
  • Sharing knowledge and helping the wider team adopt new tools and digital ways of working responsibly and effectively
  • Applying strong all-round design skills to wider studio projects, campaigns and creative formats when required
  • Managing multiple projects and priorities, ensuring work remains on brief, on brand and on deadline
  • Presenting ideas clearly, explaining creative decisions and responding constructively to feedback
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of creativity, accuracy and attention to detail
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
  • Proven experience in a digitally focused design role within an agency or busy in-house creative team
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality digital design, UX/UI thinking and excellent graphic design foundations
  • Advanced practical knowledge of Figma
  • A strong understanding of UX/UI, accessibility and responsive design principles
  • Experience taking digital projects from initial concepts and user journeys through to final design and developer handover
  • An understanding of how digital designs translate into build and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers
  • Strong creative thinking, supported by excellent typography, layout and visual communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications
  • An active interest in AI and emerging creative technologies, with practical experience using them to support ideas, design or production
  • The versatility to contribute to wider campaigns and work across print and other formats when required
  • The ability to interpret briefs, ask the right questions, contribute original ideas and explain creative decisions clearly
  • The confidence to challenge established approaches while working collaboratively and constructively
  • A willingness to share knowledge and contribute positively to the development of the wider team
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
