Lead Front End Developer - up to 75,000 - Hybrid (1 Day a Week in Newport)

The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a highly specialised Civil Service Organisation undergoing a centralised transformation into the cloud space.

We are supporting them to recruit a Lead Frontend Developer. This role is ideal for a Frontend Developer experienced with CSS, NodeJS, and NextJS. It involves line management within a matrix management structure.

Responsibilities of the Lead Front End Developer

• Design, code, test, and document applications in a cloud-first environment, from small to large, complex, or mission-critical projects.
• Build web-based Front End interfaces using React, NodeJS, and NextJS.
• Manage 4-6 Frontend Developers within a matrix structure.
• Implement toolkits and APIs for integration, performance, security, and scalability.
• Investigate and communicate findings on problems and opportunities in existing processes.

Requirements for the Successful Candidate

• Proven experience with React, NextJS, and NodeJS.
• Experience working with RESTful web services.
• Knowledge of microservice architecture.
• Experience with Cloud technologies, especially Azure.
