Job description

As the Digital & Data Standards Lead you will have a unique role within the heart of government supporting the delivery of strategies (GCF, and Digital & Data Strategy). We are looking for someone who is ambitious and eager to explore the opportunities that improved digital and data standards can make to the performance and commercial outcomes of the function. You will play a pivotal role in balancing Commercial Policy, best practice, delivery enablement and Digital Delivery, ideally suited to someone looking for a unique opportunity to influence system change and improve commercial outcomes across the public sector.

You will have a track record of delivery and will be keen to make a positive impact and you will be adept at forging partnerships. In return you will have a unique opportunity to work with the most senior leaders across Government and influence strategic decision-making at the heart of the Commercial Function.

This role is suited to an experienced commercial professional who is also digitally literate. You will be a strategic thinker, a problem solver, an excellent communicator and have the ability to deliver in a matrix environment. Working with the Deputy Director to drive and develop this strategic direction, you will leverage peer and matrix relationships across GCF, engaging directly with Departmental Commercial & Digital teams and the five Shared Services Clusters. You will also work closely with Government Commercial and Grants (GCG) Services and CCS to commission delivery of agreed digital and data requirements as well as a member of the Digital, Data and Transparency Government Board and lead on the Functional Convergence Working Group.

Job description

Reporting to the Commercial Standards and Assurance Deputy Director, you will play a vital role in leading the delivery of Standards, driving adoption across the function through the Functional Convergence Working Group, reporting on progress to the DDaT Government Board.

This role works very closely with the GCO Central Commercial teams, Departments senior leadership teams and with SRO’s, bringing them together to support enterprise and departmental leadership activities.
