We are seeking a Digital Content Strategist to bring innovative ideas, digital expertise, and audience-focused strategies to our Farmers Weekly portfolio.

Enjoy a hybrid working model with three days a week in our Sutton (Greater London) office, promoting connection and creativity. The salary is up to £40,000 (DOE) plus company benefits.

What We Offer:

  • Professional growth, career development, training, and mentorship through our MAG Mentorship program.
  • A creative, collaborative workspace to share ideas. Partner with our directors, managers, and teams across editorial, sales, and marketing to develop engaging strategies for our audiences.
  • A supportive community. Connect with peers through our networking groups and cross-team projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Strategy & Experimentation
  • Lead content experiments to increase engagement among target demographics.
  • Collaborate with editorial, product, and data teams to test formats, topics, and delivery channels (web, app, email, social).
  • Use insights from experiments to refine our online content strategy.
  • Audience-Led Content Curation & Creation
    • Identify content needs and curate experiences for key personas (e.g., contractors, agronomists).
    • Work with content teams to develop collections, features, and regular updates.
    • Collaborate with editors to select, package, and promote relevant content to maximize engagement.
    • Support social media and web content production by sourcing and quality-checking content.
  • Quality Assurance & Workflow Design
    • Establish and maintain a streamlined QA process for all online content.
    • Work with editors to set content guidelines and performance standards.
    • Embed quality into scalable workflows to reduce bottlenecks.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Alignment with our values: passion, creativity, fairness, and nurturing attitude.
    • Experience in digital content, confident in running experiments, analyzing results, and applying insights.
    • Strong editorial skills in curating content journeys that foster engagement and loyalty.
    • Understanding of audience needs across different sectors and ability to serve them with relevant digital experiences.
    • Excellent collaboration skills across teams to test formats, streamline workflows, and uphold editorial standards.
    • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and creativity in experimentation and refinement.

    Stand Out in Your Application:

Showcase your personality, values, and transferable skills. You can:

    • Upload a video introduction about yourself.
    • Submit a cover letter highlighting your enthusiasm and fit for the role.
    • Request a recommendation from someone who can vouch for your potential.

We look forward to seeing why you’re excited to join us in celebrating our 40th anniversary!
