Join the Boots Online Doctor team as a Digital Content Specialist! We're excited to welcome talented individuals to apply for this full-time (40 hours per week) role and help us create meaningful, impactful digital content.
About the role
As a Digital Content Specialist, you'll play an essential role in supporting the creation, management, and optimisation of digital content across various platforms. Alongside the Copy and Content Manager, you'll help develop and execute a content strategy, ensuring everything we produce is relevant, on-brand, clinically aligned, and customer-focussed. You'll take a lead on elements of day-to-day production and project management, working alongside a variety of internal and external stakeholders - from clinical and creative teams to production companies - to deliver high-quality content aligned with our goals.
Key responsibilities
- Content strategy & planning: Long-term strategy, alignment with business/clinical goals, identifying gaps, prioritizing content based on data - all included.
- Collaboration: Working with Boots.com, Health Hub, and internal teams (copy, design, legal, clinical).
- Content development & delivery: Managing logistics, diverse formats, production quality, compliance, accessibility.
- Performance tracking: Monitoring content, analyzing results, recommending improvements.
- Customer engagement & retention: Creating content for various touchpoints to boost engagement and health outcomes.
- Innovation: Staying updated on trends and suggesting new ideas.
What you'll need to have
- Proven experience in digital content ideation, management, and creation, ideally in healthcare, wellness, or regulated industries.
- Innovative thinker with a talent for generating fresh ideas, solving challenges, and crafting engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Skilled in content development across various formats and channels, including multimedia like podcasts and videos, with the ability to create cohesive storytelling.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, adept at handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communicator and collaborative team player, able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to deliver impactful content.
It would be great if you also have
- Proficient with analytics tools such as Google Analytics (including GA4) and YouTube Analytics.
- Basic audio/video editing skills or experience collaborating with production teams.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and SEO best practices.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive content practices.
