We specialise in both commercial and funded training and are proud to be nationally recognised as one of the UK’s largest private training providers. We are currently recruiting for a highly organised, qualified Digital Marketing Assistant to join our existing team.

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital Content Manager to oversee the creation, publication, and optimization of digital content across our online platforms. This role is responsible for maintaining a consistent brand voice, driving engagement, and ensuring that our website and digital channels remain up-to-date, accurate, and optimized for performance and SEO.

The successful candidate will undertake the following main Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a digital content strategy aligned with business goals and brand voice.

Manage website content using a CMS (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, etc.).

Regularly update website pages, blog posts, and multimedia content.

Collaborate with designers, developers, and marketers to ensure content supports campaigns and product launches.

Optimize content for SEO and monitor analytics to assess performance.

Ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and meets accessibility and UX standards.

Manage content calendars and coordinate the timely delivery of assets.

Oversee third-party content creators, freelancers, or agencies if applicable.

Support and promote Skills People Group in house events through social media and marketing

The ideal candidate must possess the following Skills, Experience and Qualities:

Educated to A Level Standard with a minimum grade A-C in both Maths and English

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in digital content management or related roles.

Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot).

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Understanding of SEO best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).

Familiarity with basic HTML and image editing tools (e.g., Photoshop or Canva).

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Experience in B2B or e-commerce content management.

Knowledge of email marketing and social media content strategy.

Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp).

Capable of running multiple projects

Excellent ICT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail

Able to follow processes

Enthusiasm in the workplace

Work well under pressure
