Job summary

Empower Family Group in Taunton seeks a Digital Content and Communications Creator to shape internal communications and digital content strategy. You will travel to sites, manage social media, and support recruitment fairs, with full driving license required.

You will craft stories, develop engaging content, and coordinate events while aligning with our mission to empower young people and families. A proactive communicator will thrive in our supportive HR, IT & Maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• Develop stories into engaging content with a focus on the audience.
• Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite).
• Ability to write newsletters and press releases.
• Design and interpretation of engagement surveys and results.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging content across websites, social media, newsletters, publications, video content and promotional materials.
• Deliver PR activities that strengthen Empower's reputation and visibility.
• Manage communications enquiries professionally and promptly.
• Ensure all communications comply with branding and publicity requirements.
• Support and deliver approved branding and communications.
• Monitor the use of branding and advise where needed.
• Produce, schedule and manage social media content reflecting the Empower brand.
• Review and update website content and digital platforms with IT.
• Monitor digital performance and provide reports and recommendations.
• Support community engagement at local jobs fairs and county shows.
• Develop and maintain a communications calendar for employees and followers.
• Monitor and report communications activity.
• Identify emerging opportunities, risks and issues and escalate as needed.
