Could you be available for summer work? (in between contracts / freelance work or returning back to Uni)

Are you able to join us for an urgent project kick-off, starting 15th or 22nd July?

If yes, this could be a great opportunity to join our central digital team here at Saga. One of our valued traditional products, Saga Magazine, has recently been launched online. We are recruiting for a team of 5 Digital Content Assistants to join us on a 2 to 3 month contract to ensure articles from a vast archive can be published to our live site via Sitecore.

You may be approaching your years as a Marketing or Journalism student, already graduated, or just looking for your next digital content role and would love to have Saga on your CV!

We would love you to apply for this short-term gig over the summer!

*You may be required to visit the London office during the contract to meet the team running this project. You must be within a reasonable commuting distance to attend our London Kings Cross hub.

Role Responsibilities

You will be reporting directly to our Digital Product Lead for 2 to 3 months as a fixed-term employee. We will provide all necessary tools such as a laptop, monitor, and keyboard. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately moving pre-written articles, interviews, and other creative content to our Sitecore platform.
  • Scheduling content changes in the CMS for the Saga Magazine domain.
  • Ensuring all content is delivered on time and published correctly to a high standard.
  • Communicating effectively with internal teams to resolve site amendments and bugs.
  • Contributing to the digital team as we undertake this critical project and meet deadlines.
  • Serving as a CMS superuser; providing support and knowledge across the business regarding content change possibilities.
  • Collaborating with the wider Digital team on the launch plan for new content.
  • Ongoing QA and monitoring of website content and functionality.

The Ideal Candidate

You should have a passion for digital content and prior experience using a CMS platform. Candidates must be able to join from mid-July for 2 to 3 months. Additionally, you should demonstrate:

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Comfort working in a technology-based environment
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build connections across the business
  • Ability to work remotely, stay focused, and deliver daily tasks
  • Experience with Sitecore, WordPress, or similar CMS platforms
  • Skills in proofreading and editing engaging content for a B2C audience
