Job summary

The Law Society is looking for an experienced Social Media and Communities professional to lead the development of a digital communities strategy and to increase engagement across our social channels. Job description

This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to join our growing Social Media and Communities team to lead the development of a digital communities strategy and increase engagement with and among our existing communities on social media.

You’ll be a key point of contact for all things digital communities, supported by our Social Media and Communities Lead to help the organisation deliver best-in-class community management and engagement on social media.

Alongside driving the development and evolution of the community management and engagement strategy, you’ll manage the day-to-day outputs for our audience‑specific Pages and forums; working with wider social media and communities colleagues, and the wider business, to execute them.

You’ll also help upskill the wider team in this; supporting the delivery of strategy, managing outputs across campaigns and helping to build a better understanding of digital communities across the business.

This is a chance to work across the entire organisation, with teams including Marketing, Press, Events, Policy, and you’ll meet members from all backgrounds to help reflect their experiences and deepen engagement with and among their communities across our social channels.

This is an exciting and varied role where you’ll be able to apply your experience to build a better community experience for our members and get stuck in shaping the direction for our digital communities at the Law Society.

You’ll be an experienced social media and digital communities professional with a proven track record of managing a large, segmented social media community. You’ll have experience developing, or supporting the development and delivery of, a community engagement or management strategy across social media. You’ll be data‑driven and experienced in using insights to test, learn and continuously improve how we engage with and understand our digital communities.

You’ll have strong awareness and understanding of social media best practice, industry trends and different platforms, with the ability to apply your knowledge effectively to improve community management. You’ll also have experience building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
