Digital Communications Officer

Location:

Milton Keynes

Job Type:

Full-time, 37 hours/week, Monday-Friday

Flexible or compressed hours and one day remote work available

About the Role:

Are you skilled in digital design, photography, and video? Do you enjoy creating engaging content for social media and digital platforms? Join us to support national security by telling compelling stories through various digital media, working with sensitive information, and engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Create and design digital content for web and social media including Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
2. Plan and produce multimedia assets such as videos, animations, and photos.
3. Write and edit content for websites, social media, and other digital channels.
4. Support event organization, media visits, and outreach activities, possibly outside regular hours and travel as needed.
5. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify stories and opportunities.
6. Evaluate the impact of communications and contribute to reports.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience or training in external communications, digital design, or journalism.
• Proficiency in photography, videography, and design tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
• Experience managing content on social media platforms.

• Experience supporting media events or working in the public sector.
