About The Role
Are you a creative communicator with a passion for digital media? We are looking for a Digital Communications Officer to join our Marketing and Communications team. This role is central to delivering engaging, effective, and strategic digital communications that reflect our values and support our mission.
Youll be responsible for managing day-to-day social media activity, creating compelling digital content, supporting internal and external campaigns, and maintaining our digital brand presence. Youll also contribute to the development of our staff intranet and external website, assist with media relations, and ensure our communications are aligned with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
- Write and edit copy for web, print, and social media.
- Create multimedia content including images, infographics, and videos.
- Produce newsletters and stakeholder publications.
Digital Engagement
- Coordinate and schedule content across social media platforms.
- Manage social media inbox queries and monitor industry communications.
- Regularly update and refresh website and sub-site content.
Internal & External Communications
- Support internal communications projects and maintain the intranet.
- Assist in planning and delivering external events.
- Act as a communications business partner across departments.
Brand & Strategy
- Develop clear, concise, and engaging communications aligned with our strategy.
- Build and protect our brand through impactful content.
- Contribute to proactive media relations and campaign implementation.
What Were Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong written communication skills adaptable to various channels and audiences.
- Experience using social media and creative tools like Canva or Adobe Suite.
- Ability to design eye-catching visuals and multimedia content.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and basic spreadsheet use.
- GCSEs in Maths & English (or equivalent).
Desirable
- Experience in a marketing and/or communications role.
- Knowledge of WordPress or other CMS platforms.
- Ability to conduct independent research and make informed decisions.
