Job Description:

My client, a leading public sector body in central London, is on the hunt for a Digital Communications Manager who is able to drive their online content across all channels.

This will be for an initial 3-month contract and has been declared INSIDE IR35 so candidates will need to go via an umbrella company. The client has a budget of £500-620 a day. The role is also hybrid working in London.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Content creation: Produce high-quality, engaging content for various digital platforms, including social media, website, and email newsletters. This includes filming and photography.
  2. Content publishing: Posting content via CMS to website from time to time.
  3. Channel selection: Making sure the right content is on the right channel at the right time.
  4. Social media management: Support the digital media officer to oversee daily social media activities, including posting, monitoring, and responding to comments and messages.
  5. Content curation: Create and curate a library of content for future utilisation.
  6. Analytics and reporting: Working with the digital media officer to track and analyse performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of digital campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  7. Utilising stakeholder channels: Exploring how the council can utilise third-party web and social channels beyond its own, such as community Facebook groups, forums and partner’s channels.
  8. Training and handover: Provide training to staff on best practices in digital communications and ensure a smooth handover of ongoing projects and strategies at the end of the contract.
