Job summary

Salford City Council is recruiting an Apprentice Marketing Executive to join the corporate communications team. You will learn to produce engaging content across photo, video, and motion graphics to support council campaigns and priorities.

You will report into the Communications and Campaigns Manager and develop skills in asset creation, storytelling, and multi-channel delivery, while aligning with brand guidelines and evaluation practices.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and creative with an interest in communications and storytelling.
• Willingness to learn and develop through an apprenticeship programme.

Responsibilities

• Produce effective and engaging content (photo, video, motion graphics) to support the council’s campaigns.
• Support the development of assets and resources that maximise engagement using data and insight.
• Create videos for use across social media, web and other digital channels.
• Create quality photography to enhance campaigns and communications activities.
• Assist with engaging motion graphics content and artwork.
• Ensure content supports SMART objectives, KPIs and calls to action in campaigns.
• Support planning, storyboarding, production, editing, delivery and evaluation to create audience-specific content for digital channels.
• Maintain equipment and software, and identify tools to support delivery of content priorities.
