Job summary

Salford City Council is offering an apprenticeship in its corporate communications team. The role focuses on creating engaging content across photo, video and motion graphics to support campaigns and council priorities.

You will report to the Communications and Campaigns Manager and work within a digitally savvy team to engage multi-channel audiences and meet SMART objectives. Training and portfolio development are included.

Qualifications

• Produce effective and engaging content (photo, video, motion graphic) to support the council’s campaigns.
• Report to the Communications and Campaigns Manager and help develop assets and resources for engagement across audiences.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the council’s voice resonates across multi-channel audiences.

Responsibilities

• Create videos for use across social media, web and other digital channels.
• Create quality photography to enhance campaigns and communications activities.
• Assist with development of engaging motion graphics content.
• Ensure content supports SMART objectives, KPIs and calls to action in campaigns.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and impact of key campaign activity.
• Contribute to development of responsive, creative content for key campaigns and public affairs.
