Job description

Digital Children, Young People and Families Worker

Location: London, N17 0AR

Salary: A GBP 26,250 - GBP 34,650 per annum

Our client's vision is to break down the barriers that stop people from accessing support to live a valued life. They address poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support services.

They operate nearly 200 services across England, supported by almost 3,500 staff and volunteers, helping around 125,000 people annually.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a commissioned Children, Young People and Families Drug and Alcohol service: Insight Platform, for a Digital Children, Young People, and Families Worker.

Duties Include
  1. Hold a caseload of young people, conduct key work sessions, and deliver assemblies, parenting workshops, and teacher training within schools.
  2. Serve as the digital lead for the service: updating social media platforms like Instagram and the website, and co-producing work with Public Health, schools, and other stakeholders.
  3. Update CarePath with relevant information, conduct assessments, risk assessments, and develop care plans.
  4. Deliver group work sessions on substance misuse.
  5. Manage cases involving hidden harm concerns.

The ideal candidate will be passionate, creative, enthusiastic, and flexible, with excellent IT skills and experience using digital tools including social media, Zoom, and MS Teams. The role aims to reach as many Children, Young People, and Families affected by drugs and/or alcohol as possible, playing a key part in achieving this goal.

The post holder will work collaboratively within a team to provide recovery planning and case management for individuals at risk of or using drugs and alcohol, from assessment through to treatment. They will also promote the service via social media and create a digital roadmap of services for young people, emphasizing a strength-based approach to diversionary activities and Education, Training, and Employment (ETE).
