Job summary

NHS 24 is recruiting a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join the enhanced psychology pathway in Glasgow. The role delivers digitally enabled, evidence-based CBT to adults with mild to moderate mental health or physical health difficulties, primarily via telephone, with future video/group options.

You will manage a personal caseload, conduct assessments and formulations, and deliver structured CBT interventions, while maintaining records and contributing to service development and evaluation

Qualifications

• Hold a postgraduate qualification in CBT and demonstrate the professional knowledge and competencies required to practise as a CBT Therapist.
• Experience of assessing and treating a range of mental health presentations using evidence-based CBT.
• Ability to deliver psycho-educational materials to patients and other healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based CBT interventions appropriate to patients’ needs and presentations.
• Undertake psychological assessment and CBT formulation.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes using appropriate measures.
• Maintain clinical records and documentation in line with requirements.
