Job description

A capable, experienced, and collaborative leader is sought to join the EMEA D&C design management team to advance our business in Digital & BIM delivery. This role involves working closely with the D&C Design Management and SLT teams to provide leadership and implement digital solutions throughout all project phases, aiming for seamless delivery, top quality, and the use of intelligent data and systems to ensure our products are market-repeatable, dependable, and predictable.

There is a gap in the EMEA team for a professional skilled in Digital delivery who can help build our products and processes to be fully integrated, intelligent, and technologically advanced, positioning us as a leader in the Hyperscale Data Centre sector. The increasing adoption of AI, digital technologies, and data necessitates integrating these into our approach across all business aspects and project phases, both as Developer and Operator.

The Digital/BIM Lead for EMEA is an exciting opportunity to shape our future and realize our business aspirations within a supportive, collaborative team. The role is strategic and hands-on, focusing on future digital, data, and BIM technologies (such as Generative AI, CAFM), while also supporting current projects and activities through existing Digital & BIM processes.

The core responsibilities include managing and supporting our current project portfolio and business activities within the D&C & Development teams. The role supports our aims as a developer, with an understanding of the roles and requirements of GCs, OFCI, tenants, and supply chains.

Key duties involve ensuring BIM/Digital expectations are clear and compliant, outputs meet format, classification, LOD/LOI standards, and are structured to meet internal and tenant requirements. Additionally, the role supports future site planning and development activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Set, control, and implement BIM and Digital strategies for D&C projects and the overall portfolio in collaboration with the Design Director and SLT.
  2. Ensure BIM and Digital deliverables align with Yondr’s global requirements and regional needs for EMEA.
  3. Develop methods to integrate project data into dashboards and platforms for improved reporting and risk management.
  4. Collaborate across Yondr teams to support digital growth and better integration between functions.
  5. Support initial block-fit planning in collaboration with design and development teams for site selection.
  6. Assist current projects with the implementation of BIM & Digital processes daily.
  7. Analyze data and develop tools for better decision-making and process efficiency.
  8. Ensure proper data structuring from pre-construction through in-use phases, collaborating with IM, PM, and operational teams.

Strategic Input:

  1. Create and execute the Digital/BIM Strategy supporting new products, regional and portfolio-wide initiatives.
  2. Support client digital requirements, employer requirements, and information requirements.
  3. Lead 4D/6D modeling, asset data validation, digital handover, and emerging technologies like Reality Capture, VR/AR, and drones.
  4. Standardize outputs from consultants and GCs, plan resources, and ensure compliance with ISO 19650.
  5. Promote innovation, technical excellence, and R&D initiatives, including supporting YondrOne development.

Project/Role Specifics:

  1. Develop project BEP and EIR frameworks, ensuring consistent and compliant outputs.
  2. Conduct project audits related to BIM models and outputs.
  3. Lead BIM-related meetings to align expectations and deliverables.
  4. Support design programs with BIM deliverables and project documentation.
  5. Assist with setup and specifications for project CDEs and EDMS tools.
  6. Work with development and D&C teams on block/test fit processes, including GISMO platform use.
  7. Ensure data and information from projects align with YondrOne requirements.

Required Experience & Knowledge:

The candidate should have substantial awareness and experience with systems and platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Solibri, Synchro Pro, AR/VR tools, Power BI, SharePoint, BIM clash detection platforms, project CDEs, scheduling tools, digital twinning, rendering software, CAFM, among others.
