Job summary

Initialize IT in London is seeking a Senior Digital Assets Custody specialist for a London hybrid role. You will bring deep experience in securities custody, asset servicing and tokenised assets to define operating models for custody of tokenised assets.

The role requires collaboration with operations, risk and product teams to integrate digital custody platforms, onboard assets, and ensure settlement and reconciliation, with a focus on institutional clients.

Qualifications

• Strong background in securities custody, asset servicing or post-trade operations.
• Hands-on experience with digital assets, tokenisation, DLT or institutional digital custody.
• Good understanding of custody controls and settlement processes.
• Familiarity with permissioned blockchain ecosystems (Canton Network) highly desirable.

Digital Assets SME - London/hybrid - £550 - 591 inside IR35

Key responsibilities

• Provide subject-matter expertise across digital assets, tokenised securities and institutional custody.
• Define target operating models for custody of tokenised assets, including asset onboarding, safekeeping, settlement, servicing and reconciliation.
• Advise on integration of digital asset platforms/blockchain networks with existing custody, securities servicing and operational processes.
• Support definition of business requirements, control frameworks and operating procedures for digital custody.
• Assess business implications across private keys/wallets, entitlements, transaction signing, asset segregation, settlement finality and corporate actions.
• Work with operations, technology, risk, compliance and product teams to create a repeatable new product onboarding process.
• Provide industry insight on market infrastructure, interoperability and institutional digital asset operating models.

Required experience

• Strong background in securities custody, asset servicing or post-trade operations.
• Hands-on experience with digital assets, tokenisation, DLT/blockchain or institutional digital custody.
• Good understanding of institutional custody controls, settlement processes and operating models.
• Familiarity with permissioned blockchain ecosystems such as Canton Network is highly desirable.
• Experience working with global custodians, asset managers, market infrastructures or financial institutions preferred.
