We are looking for a Digital Archiving Lead who is strategic, detail-oriented, and collaborative to join us in our Data Office team, based in our Slough office in the UK.

About the role

You will be working in a team that is shaping UCB’s digital future by leading the design and delivery of our global digital archiving strategy. This role is vital in preserving critical digital records, ensuring long-term accessibility, and supporting compliance with regulatory and industry standards. You will also help evolve the archiving model as the business scales.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll be joining the Data Office, a cross-functional and collaborative group responsible for advancing our data and digital initiatives. You will work closely with IT, functional leads, and project teams, contributing to UCB’s data strategy and cultural transformation.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute a long-term digital archiving strategy
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and findability of archived digital assets
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards
  • Collaborate across departments to identify and prioritize content for archiving
  • Support users with training, guidance, and access to archived materials
  • Monitor metrics and report on archiving activities and compliance

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Master’s degree in life sciences, computer science or any related field and 10+ years pharmaceutical industry experience, or a similar background with proven successful track record in process improvement
  • Minimum 5 years in digital archiving or information management
  • Proven experience developing archiving policies and procedures
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical skills
  • Experience with archiving tools and digital infrastructure
  • Comfortable working in regulated environments and managing complex initiatives
