As a Digital Analyst, you will help track and evaluate performance across key digital functions — Operated (social media), Owned (website and app), and Direct (fan data). You’ll work alongside internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver clear, impactful insights that shape strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Data & Analytics Manager to compile, clean, and organise datasets from various sources.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across reporting outputs and data pipelines.
- Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and a suite of regular reports to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyse user acquisition, behaviours, and engagement across the Premier League’s digital platforms and key channels.
- Analyse digital campaigns, helping to measure performance and identify optimisation opportunities.
- Support the development of audience segmentation models and contribute to targeted audience building for campaigns and personalised experiences.
- Assist in the growth of the Premier League’s first-party data, contributing to data acquisition and CRM integration efforts.
- Support the development of attribution models to assess the impact of channels, campaigns, and touchpoints on user conversion and engagement.
- Provide insights to support the League’s social media reach, audience segmentation, and fan targeting strategies.
- Use data to identify opportunities for optimisation, feeding into the experimentation roadmap, in collaboration with the CRO Manager and Product Managers.
- Deliver insights and reporting to support commercial partnerships.
- Contribute to market and competitor benchmarking to contextualise performance and inform strategic planning.
- Champion the use and value of data-informed insights throughout the business.
Requirements for the role
- Strong affinity for digital data and analytics.
- Experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google BigQuery.
- Familiarity with the Adobe Experience Platform, including Adobe RT-CDP and CJA.
- Experience with Power BI, or similar BI tool.
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data.
- Understanding of attribution modelling.
- High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to problem solving.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team.
- Able to manage multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines.
Nice-to-haves for the role
- Understanding of Google Tag Manager (GTM) or Adobe Launch.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and data integration processes.
- Exposure to personalisation, CRM platforms or segmentation strategies.
- Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation methodologies. Optimizely experience an advantage.
- Familiarity with cookie consent management platforms, preferably OneTrust.
- A passion for or strong interest in football and sport.
- Positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills.
