Job description

Our Story

From its inception in 1994, Chrissie Rucker’s vision was to build a company that specialised in stylish, white, designer-quality items for the home that were not only exceptional quality, but also outstanding value for money. In addition to this devotion to simplicity, it was imperative the customer was put at the heart of everything and provided with a second-to-none shopping experience - and so The White Company was born.

Today, the company that began as a 12-page mail-order brochure has become one of the UK’s fast-growing multi-channel retailers and a leading lifestyle brand with 75 stores across the UK and impressive global growth.

Our Role

Key Deliverables of this role are:

  • Responsibility for supporting the Digital teams through delivering regular website reporting, analysis and insight – that drives learnings and understandings of site behaviour and commercial performance.
  • Supporting the Senior Digital Optimisation Manager – including analysis of AB test campaigns, conducting deep dive analysis to unearth insight and opportunities for the testing roadmap.
  • Supporting Product and UX teams with analysis to support and influence wider site development, including post-delivery reporting.
  • Be the technical expert in the business on site tagging and tracking – helping to ensure data is robust and accurate. Identify data gaps and then create, update and maintain that.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing regular website reporting and insight to various levels of stakeholders across different functions in the business - including Trade, Content, Customer and Marketing.
  • All analysis to be translated into a meaningful, easily understood output - supported with recommendations to create added value.
  • Be the subject matter expert and lead for end-user support on our primary analytics tools; Adobe Analytics and Contentsquare.
  • Creating and maintaining key dashboards, reports, segments and metrics for the business.
  • Maintain and manage site tracking and tagging within our Tag Management System; Adobe Launch.
  • Ability to identify and debug data inaccuracies and fix those issues using a Tag Management System.
  • To identify gaps in the data and recommend what is needed and how this is then implemented inline with best practice – specifically the Data Layer.
  • Working closely with IT and Developers on the implementation of new site tags.
  • Working closely with Project and Product teams to turn (and drive) new business requirements into a clear, actionable analytics implementation to help support that project.
  • Supporting Product and UX teams with data and analysis to support their planning and post-delivery analysis, alongside commercial forecasting and results per delivery.
  • Working closely with and helping manage our current 3rd party analytics agency.
  • Joined up approach with the wider Insight team to ensure learnings are shared and findings are consistent.

The skills and experience you’ll need

  • Advanced experience with Adobe Analytics and ideally other analytics tools including Contentsquare.
  • Advanced technical experience and knowledge of site tracking and tagging implementation – preferably using Adobe Launch.
  • Experience of using and working on changes to a Data Layer.
  • Naturally inquisitive and enjoys problem solving. ‘Can-do’ attitude.
  • Driven and proactive with their approach.
  • Strong attention to detail. Takes pride in their output. Comfortable and confident at creating reporting packs, clearly and effectively presenting insight and communicating actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships across various stakeholders across the business and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Ability to process large volumes of data and analysis in a tight time frame and prioritise.
  • Highly commercial with strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge about digital and data.
  • Ideally understanding of CRO/AB testing and measurement techniques.
  • Ideally experience in the Retail industry.
