We’re looking for a passionate expert in digital accessibility to join our creative and dynamic digital team. You’ll bring a deep understanding of WCAG 2.1 (or more recent) guidelines, laws, and standards, and a proven ability to simplify complex technical information for non-technical audiences.

Your expertise in user acceptance testing (UAT), front-end code, and accessibility best practices will enable you to work collaboratively with developers, ensuring our digital products and services are legally compliant and user-friendly. Experience in usability testing, data analysis, and providing actionable recommendations is essential.

If you thrive in a collaborative environment, have a commitment to inclusivity, and a talent for shaping policies that support disabled students' needs, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to become the university's subject matter expert for digital accessibility.

In this role, you will:

  • Advise and guide on the development of accessible digital products, services, and content.
  • Shape internal policies that promote inclusivity for current and future disabled students.
  • Conduct annual website accessibility audits to ensure legal compliance.
  • Write accessibility statements and provide recommendations for website improvements.
  • Plan and conduct usability tests with real users, focusing on user journeys and product modifications.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, attending sprint ceremonies, streamlining processes, and writing clear, actionable tickets.

You’ll help to create a truly inclusive digital experience across the university, making a tangible impact on our student community.
