Our band 5 positions typically cover a range of admission, medical, surgical, care of the elderly and rehabilitation wards. The majority of the caseload will be inpatient facing, but outpatient services are also provided by our band 5 post holders to general clinic and MDT lipid clinic.
You will also gain experience in supporting food policy initiatives, promoting MUST screening and you will have opportunities to deliver training and education to patients and healthcare staff. This includes the clinical teaching and assessment of dietetic students from the University of Plymouth joining us on their A, B and C placements.
You will benefit from working alongside specialist dietitians with expertise in a range of specialities including food policy, gastroenterology, diabetes, critical care, surgery, frailty, and oncology.
