A leading healthcare provider in Poole seeks an enthusiastic dietitian for a 9-month contract to support various clinical areas including respiratory and surgical wards. The position is ideal for newly qualified or Band 5 dietitians aiming to enhance their professional skills and experience. You will receive support from senior staff and contribute to the training of students, all while working within a dynamic and inclusive team environment. You need to be an excellent communicator with experience of group work. The department is actively involved in the teaching and training of nursing and medical staff and there would be an opportunity to develop your skills in this area. University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is made up of 3 hospitals. The post holder is applying for a rotational post which can be based at either the Royal Bournemouth Hospital or Poole site. It is a condition of employment that all staff being recruited will work across sites. This post offers excellent opportunities for professional and personal development. The department is committed to CPD and offers a wide range of in-house training. You will be invited to regular professional update meetings across the whole team. In addition we are closely connected with our colleagues across Dorset and run a Dorset-wide education and networking event twice yearly. We would be very happy to have a conversation about specific areas of interest in the rotations as well as how your skill set fits with our service and your development needs. We would welcome applications from current dietetic students who are due to finish their training and will be eligible for HCPC registration in 2025/early 2026.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian to join our department for a 9‑month contract to provide a service to a variety of inpatient areas including respiratory, general medicine, surgical and care of the elderly. This post also includes a general outpatient clinic. You should be a good team worker and be able to use your initiative. If you enjoy working as part of a team and are keen to change and innovate practice this is the job for you. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop clinical and professional skills within a dynamic and supportive team. This post is suitable for newly qualified dietitians or Band 5 dietitians looking for further experience. The post holder will work closely with our senior dietitians who will help train and support you, along with providing opportunities to experience other areas of dietetics. New ways of working and evaluating our practice through audit are strongly encouraged in our team and hospital trust. Developing resources and carrying out audits will be encouraged to maintain our high profile within the hospital. We provide student training and will expect the post holder to contribute.
