Job summary

Cheswold Park Hospital is seeking a Band 6 Dietitian to join our busy Community Nutrition & Dietetics Service in Barnsley on a permanent, full-time basis.

The role covers community clinics, care homes and housebound patients, with opportunities to gain experience in nutrition support, enteral feeding and paediatrics. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Dietitian with NHS/community experience preferred.
• Patient-centred approach and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• CPD encouraged and able to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload requiring complex dietetic intervention across settings (Stroke Recovery Unit, care homes, clinics, patients' homes).

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Dietitian to join our busy Community Nutrition & Dietetics Service in Barnsley, full time on a permanent basis.

The post is varied and includes community clinics, care homes and housebound patients. The caseload includes nutrition support and general dietetics, with opportunities to gain experience in enteral feeding and paediatrics. The team is friendly and supportive, with CPD encouraged.

This is a community-based role; applicants must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes. A contribution to the training of student dietitians is expected.

Main duties of the job

• Manage a caseload requiring complex dietetic intervention in different settings (Stroke Recovery Unit, care homes, clinics, patients\' homes).
• Provide dietetic assessment and intervention for a range of conditions including nutrition support and general dietetics.
• Work as part of a team of dietitians and dietetic assistants.
• Demonstrate a patient-centred approach in line with Trust values.
• Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide individualised advice, support and care plans.
• Maintain complete, accurate clinical records and participate in supervision and continuing professional development.
• Encourage flu vaccination for staff and patients where applicable.
