Job summary

Bere Clinic, part of Elysium Healthcare, is seeking a Dietetic Assistant to support CAMHS and eating disorder patients aged 12-18 in Waterlooville. You will work under a Registered Dietitian, assist with interventions, monitor nutritional data, and help prepare reports on progress.

The role emphasizes teamwork, CPD, and ongoing training opportunities within a 12-bed CYPMHS setting at Bere Clinic. Requires relevant healthcare support qualifications and passion for pediatric mental health.

Job description

As you work 37.5 hours a week, you will join a team that provides specialist eating disorder care and support to children and young people in Waterlooville.

You will work under the supervision of the Registered Dietitian, which will see you take responsibility for supporting the day-to-day duties, including providing support for therapeutic interventions, collecting and monitoring baseline nutritional data and reviewing the young persons' nutritional needs.

As a Dietetic Assistant, you will participate in the preparation and updating of information and resources for individuals and groups, which will see you review young peoples compliance with nutritional advice, dietary preference and intake and provide reports on their progression.

You will be a part of an environment where there is a strong emphasis on teamwork and CPD, where you will have continuous access to a range of training opportunities to move your career forward.

  • Ensure appropriate documentation is in place for a safe discharge, including appropriate follow-up
To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Need
  • Experience of working within a CAMHS and/or eating disorder service
  • The NCFE CACHE level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services OR The NCFE CACHE level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support
  • Associate member of the British Dietetic Association
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of nutrition and dietetics as it relates to eating disorders
  • An understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with mental health problems or other disabilities
  • Theoretical knowledge of Eating Disorders

Bere Clinic is a 12 bed Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) to support young people aged 12-18 with eating disorders.
