Diesel Mechanic

Location: Miami, FL

Salary: $26.00 - $40.00 per hour

Job Description

The primary duties of a Gas/Diesel Technician/Mechanic include performing diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to identify faults, analyzing diagnostic test results, and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking, or lighting system components.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records of services for clients and the company.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and battery checks.
  • Install emissions control systems in accordance with pollution control regulations.
  • Operate hydraulic jacks or hoists to safely raise and lower vehicles and equipment.
  • Uphold engine safety standards according to federal and state vehicle requirements.
  • Inspect diesel vehicles and identify issues through diagnostic tests, test drives, physical examinations, and visual inspections.
Requirements:
  • ASE certification.
  • CDL certification (training provided).
  • Self-motivated and professional attitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of fleet or dealership experience.
