Job summary

Tulloch Recruitment Ltd invites applications for a Diesel Mechanic / Generator Technician onshore in Aberdeenshire. The role covers servicing, maintenance and repair of diesel engines and generators, with a hands-on approach and a focus on safety.

Occasional offshore work may be required. The successful candidate will have experience in diesel engines or generators, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, Generator Technician or similar.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Hands-on maintenance and repair on diesel engines and/or generators.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel engines and generators
• Diagnosing and fault-finding mechanical issues
• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
• Preparing and repairing equipment for operational use
• Supporting workshop-based mechanical projects and repairs
• Completing service, inspection and maintenance documentation
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop
• Occasional/ad hoc offshore work where required

We are currently looking for Diesel Mechanic / Generator Technician – Onshore based in Aberdeenshire for ongoing contract with a view to go perm for the correct candidate

We’re looking for someone with:

• Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, Generator Technician or similar
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working on diesel engines and/or generators A practical, hands on approach to maintenance and repair
• Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

BOSIET Certificate: Advantageous, but not essential for the onshore role. opportunities for occasional/ad hoc offshore work.
