Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues in PACCAR diesel engines and Peterbilt/Kenworth chassis
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance services
  • Utilize troubleshooting trees/schematics to identify failures
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections to assess the condition of engines and recommend necessary repairs
  • Work closely with other team members and departments
  • Maintain detailed records
  • Stay up to date with the latest PACCAR diagnostic tools, software updates, and repair techniques
  • Comply with all safety guidelines and regulations
  • Other duties, as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience as a diesel technician (preferably with PACCAR engines)
  • Must provide your own tools (all major air tools 3/4" will be provided)
  • Strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics and electronic systems
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment (preferably Davie4)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational or technical training
