Job description

About Rehlko

Rehlko is a global leader in power and energy resilience. Formerly known as Kohler Energy, Rehlko has continually shaped the way the world powers homes, industries, and critical infrastructure.

As part of this exciting growth, WB Power Services has now become Rehlko. This transition marks our evolution into an OEM, allowing us to design, build, and deliver complete power solutions from the ground up. It’s a transformation that strengthens our technical capability, expands our product range, and deepens the value we offer to our clients.

We retain the strong, values-led foundation of a family business, while being empowered by the scale, resources, and global vision of Rehlko. For our people, this means new opportunities, bigger projects, and a chance to shape the future of resilient, sustainable energy.

We're looking for a Generator Service Engineer to support critical power infrastructure within data centre environments. Working predominantly from fixed customer sites, you'll play a key role in maintaining standby power systems, ensuring equipment reliability and maximum uptime across mission‑critical facilities.

The Role

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on standby power generation equipment within data centre environments.

  • Diagnosing faults and completing breakdown repairs to ensure maximum equipment reliability and uptime.

  • Working on fixed customer sites, supporting critical power infrastructure and emergency backup systems.

  • Building strong working relationships with site teams and customers, delivering a professional and responsive service.

  • Working closely with Coordinators and Service Managers to ensure maintenance schedules and reactive works are completed efficiently.

  • Accurately recording all work carried out using our bespoke management system.

  • Participating in the site or regional on-call rota (approximately 1 in 6).

  • Adhering to company Health & Safety, environmental and quality management systems at all times.

The Person

  • Time-served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).

  • Previous experience working on generators, critical power systems or similar equipment is highly advantageous.

  • Good knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems, including engines and alternators.

  • Experience working within data centres, critical environments, facilities management or industrial settings would be beneficial.

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

  • Able to complete risk assessments and work safely in high‑compliance environments.

  • Excellent communication skills, confident liaising with customers, site teams and internal stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where reliability and attention to detail are critical.
