Job Purpose:

The Die Shop Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of dies and tooling used in production processes. This role ensures that all dies and related equipment operate efficiently, meet quality standards, and support production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the design, development, and modification of die tools for stamping, forming, and other manufacturing operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate die repair and maintenance activities in the die shop.
  • Troubleshoot die-related issues, recommending and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure tooling meets performance and quality standards.
  • Support new product introduction by providing tooling expertise and developing die solutions.
  • Ensure die shop safety standards and best practices are consistently followed.
  • Monitor and improve tool life, maintenance schedules, and efficiency of die equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of die maintenance, modifications, and performance.
