Role purpose:

The role is to lead the existing Business Development Executives (BDEs) to win new FS&I clients in our chosen target market which are medium to large enterprise customers. This person will create and execute their growth business plan to ensure financial targets are achieved. In addition, they will lead from the front by engaging with FS&I clients to develop opportunities with net new clients to SCC across all Commercial Sectors.

SCC has developed a broad portfolio of services relevant to the Commercial Sectors that underpin the strategy, and you will be expected to articulate the value these offer to prospective clients. You will be expected to achieve your team revenue and margin targets set by SCC for those sectors and support the development of the team within the overall London Region.

Key responsibilities:
  • Achieve all financial goals through successfully leading the BDEs
  • Be an expert in the key business challenges and trends within the Commercial Sectors
  • Be a role model and lead from the front in demonstrating how to win large net new customers
  • Develop and support team activity for client-facing events
  • Contribute to, support, and execute the Commercial South business plan
  • Support the BDEs in developing their sales strategy and territory plans for nominated pursuit targets
  • Develop opportunity pipeline within SCC's core portfolio to support revenue and margin targets
  • Recruit, motivate, and lead new business teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with key strategic vendors
  • Create joint vendor business plans to grow mutual business
  • Report progress regularly against performance metrics
  • Coach BDEs to win more and secure target-market net-new clients
  • Maintain SCC CRM tool and opportunity management for the BDE teams
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasts and timely data provision to Regional Management
  • Demonstrate knowledge of SCC’s core service propositions
  • Collaborate with SCC teams such as Services & Marketing to lead new business campaigns
  • Create social media campaigns to raise SCC's awareness and strategic pursuits
  • Improve win rates across campaigns
  • Adhere to SCC sales governance processes
  • Work with cross-business specialists to support campaign management
Skills and experience:
  • Minimum of years IT sales experience
  • Minimum of years leading sales teams to win new customers
  • Proven track record of winning large, complex deals in the Commercial Sector
  • Experience in recruiting, motivating, and leading sales teams
  • Ability to create and execute sales growth plans
  • Knowledge in delivering complex IT solutions, outsourcing, and digital transformation
  • Ability to engage with 'C' suite executives and wider client business
  • Knowledge of the IT Vendor community
  • Proven ability to exceed financial and performance targets
  • Good understanding of the Financial Services & Insurance industry
