Job summary

Cardiff North Renal Dialysis Unit is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support nursing staff and help run a busy dialysis unit. You will assist with patient care, stock management, and preparing the clinical area for treatments, in a role that offers training and a supportive team environment.

The position is 37.5 hours per week on a rolling rota, Monday to Saturday with no Sunday or night shifts. Training, benefits, and development opportunities are provided in a friendly NHS-linked setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a nursing team.
• Experience in a dialysis unit.
• Good communication and empathy.
• Flexible and able to meet daily deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide general assistance to nursing staff with patient care in the treatment room.
• Manage stock and supplies and support housekeeping tasks.
• Prepare the clinical area and refreshments for patients.
• Escort patients to wards, collect bloods and pharmacy errands.
• Monitor patient weights pre and post dialysis.
