Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) in Leeds is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician for a busy workshop. You will diagnose complex faults on passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to high manufacturer standards.

The role offers a £38,000 basic salary with a realistic OTE of £50,000, plus overtime opportunities and ongoing manufacturer training to support career progression within a high-performance team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Diagnostic Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician on passenger cars and LCVs
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Ownership of your own tools and toolbox
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (licence checks)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues
• Service, maintenance and repair work on cars and LCVs
• Support other technicians with guidance and fault diagnosis
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
• Deliver first-time fix quality and outstanding customer satisfaction
