Salary: up to £44,600 OTE (including a basic up to £36,000, plus an additional £2,000 for EV qualification and bonus). Overachievement bonus available!

Our Service team at Vauxhall Birmingham is recruiting for a Senior or Diagnostic Technician to join their workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, performing mechanical and electrical diagnosis according to manufacturer guidelines, and liaising with the Master Technician for guidance on complex issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and electrical diagnosis using brand-specific diagnostic tools according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Master Technician on complex issues.
  • Work with the manufacturer's technical team when guidance is needed.
  • Advise customers or manufacturers on additional work required.
  • Road test vehicles with customers to identify faults.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), and a full UK driving license. Previous experience as a Senior or Diagnostic Technician is required, and an EV qualification is desirable. You should be self-motivated, supportive of your team, ambitious, eager to learn, and committed to high standards for all vehicles.
