Job summary

A newly qualified diagnostic radiographer post in the Radiology team at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. The role covers diagnostic radiographic procedures within a multidisciplinary team, with mentorship and structured training in general radiography, digital fluoroscopy and CT.

Applicants must have HPC registration and a diagnostic radiography qualification; the post includes out-of-hours duties on a 7-day roster and opportunities to train students from partner universities.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification recognised by the College of Radiographers.
• DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography (3-year degree).
• Portfolio demonstrating CPD activity or ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Undertake diagnostic radiographic examinations within a multidisciplinary team.
• Authorise and justify plain film examinations relevant to the post.
• Produce diagnostic-quality images with the lowest reasonable dose.
• Work a 7-day roster including in-hours and out-of-hours duties.
• Support junior staff and students and contribute to CPD.
• Participate in training of students from partner universities.
