Job summary

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Diagnostic Radiographer to join our friendly Radiology team, serving the New Forest area from Lymington New Forest Hospital and nearby community sites in Romsey and Hythe.

You will be skilled in plain radiography, with NHS experience preferred, and bring a proactive, compassionate approach to patient care. The role includes out-of-hours work and exposure to X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI using modern Siemens and Canon equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality radiography across hospital and community sites.
• Perform X-ray, fluoroscopy, theatre imaging, DXA, ultrasound, CT and MRI.
• Participate in out-of-hours and extended-day services.
• Work with modern Siemens and Canon equipment and contribute to service development.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated Diagnostic Radiographer to join our friendly multidisciplinary Radiology team, providing high-quality patient care across the New Forest and surrounding areas. Applications are welcomed from both final-year student radiographers and HCPC-registered radiographers looking to develop their skills and career.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of plain radiographic techniques, NHS experience as a student or qualified radiographer, and a proactive, compassionate approach to patient care. Based primarily at Lymington New Forest Hospital, the role will also include working at community sites in Romsey and Hythe following induction.

Participation in out-of-hours and extended-day services is required. Our fully digital department offers a wide range of imaging services including X-ray, fluoroscopy, theatre imaging, DXA, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, supported by modern Siemens and Canon equipment.
