Job Description:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Care Certificate.
• NVQ Level 1 and/or be willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
• Willing to work towards NVQ Level 3 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
• Previous experience in an Imaging or Healthcare Assistant role.

Duties of this role include:

• Work as an integral part of the imaging team, providing high standard patient-centred care, meeting the needs of patients, consultants, and colleagues. Collaborate within the multi-disciplinary team to deliver care, maintain, and enhance customer service and satisfaction under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
• Deliver high standards of care in accordance with CHG policies and procedures.
• Conduct yourself professionally within the HCA/Imaging Assistants framework, adhering to standards in line with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) Codes and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Demonstrate competence as an Imaging Assistant within your scope of work.
• Assist patients throughout their time in the department and prepare patients prior to imaging procedures.
• Assist Radiographers in maintaining an efficient daily workflow and patient list.
• Support Radiologists in carrying out radiological examinations.
• Handle patient queries and manage appointments using Radiology IT systems.
• Assist the Admin team with charging processes.
• Be responsible for stock maintenance and ordering.
