Job summary

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, part of Circle Health Group, invites applications for a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant. This full-time role (37.5 hours) is permanent, with a salary up to £26,061.03 per year depending on experience and training.

The post requires flexible shift coverage and is based in the Imaging department. We welcome candidates with imaging or healthcare assistant experience and with Care Certificate qualifications.

Qualifications

• Previous imaging or healthcare assistant experience.
• Customer care experience, including challenging interactions.
• Care Certificate.
• NVQ Level 1 and/or willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard, patient-centred care within the imaging department.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver care and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to NMC/HCPC standards and professional conduct.
• Demonstrate competence as Imaging Assistant within defined roles.
• Complete all mandatory training and comply with policies.

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle Is part of Circle Health Group , Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join their team of staff in theImagingdepartment.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

You work as an integral part of the imaging team, providing a high standard of patient-centred care, meeting the needs of patients, consultants and colleagues.

You work within the multi-disciplinary team to deliver care, maintain and enhance the customer service and satisfaction of service users under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner.

You conduct yourself professionally within the HCA/ Imaging Assistants standard framework, understanding the standards in accordance with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

You demonstrate competence in the role of Imaging Assistant within the scope of your working areas.

You work alongside multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and high-quality care provision for patients.

You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Previous experience in an Imaging or Healthcare Assistant role.

Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.

Care Certificate.

NVQ Level 1 and/or be willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.

Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.

Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
