An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the inpatient diabetes team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at The New Royal site.
This post will be part of the team providing diabetes inpatient support to patients and staff across The New Royal, Broadgreen, and Clatterbridge Liverpool sites.
The team supports individuals with diabetes admitted to these sites, offering education and training to staff across all locations.
As a Band 6 Diabetes Inpatient Specialist Nurse, you will be part of a large Diabetes MDT, providing education and support to patients admitted to The Royal Liverpool Hospital, Broadgreen, and Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool.
This role involves supporting patient and carer education for inpatients, participating in diabetes rolling education programs, and in-reach teaching. You will serve as a source of specialist diabetes knowledge for staff across the sites.
Your responsibilities include supporting safe and timely discharges and referring patients to appropriate care post-discharge.
The Trust comprises Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, and Royal Liverpool University Hospital. It is part of the NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group, formed on 1 Nov 2024, aiming to improve patient care.
