An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Midwife/Nurse to step up into a Band 7 Diabetic Specialist Nurse role.
We are looking for a highly motivated Midwife/Nurse with excellent clinical and leadership skills to join the team.
The post holder will be responsible for providing diabetic care to pregnant women, coordinating and developing services for pregnant women with Type I, Type II, or Gestational Diabetes.
The post holder will provide effective leadership, working closely with the diabetic team and acting as the lead nurse on diabetes in maternity services.
They will collaborate with other diabetes team members, contribute to staff education and professional development in both acute and primary care settings, and be actively involved in client/family education. They will also support midwives and GPs in providing ongoing antenatal care and planning care for clients. The post holder will be responsible for auditing, monitoring, and evaluating the service provided.
