Diabetes Specialist Nurse

Evolve is supporting the recruitment for a leading organisation renowned for delivering first-class care for patients across Primary and Secondary Care in the UK.

Position: Diabetes Specialist Nurse

Our client is assembling a team of Diabetes Specialist Nurses to commence ASAP, aiming to provide high-quality care in Primary Care and enhance patient outcomes in East Somerset/Bristol.

Responsibilities include:

1. Proactively identify patients with sub-optimally controlled Type 2 diabetes.
2. Optimize oral therapy and conduct point-of-care testing.
3. Refer patients for specialist insulin treatment when necessary.
4. Fulfill corporate nursing responsibilities.

Specific territories will be assigned based on successful candidates.

Additional details:

• Field-based roles requiring travel; a full driving license and willingness to travel are essential.
• Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm), with part-time options (4 days/week) available.
• Salary & benefits include an annual bonus, company car or allowance (+ fuel card), pension, medical insurance, daily lunch allowance, uniform, reimbursement of professional fees, broadband contribution, and more.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Current NMC registration.
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience managing diabetes in Primary Care.
• Confident in providing education, support, and advice to Type 2 Diabetes patients.
• Skills in optimizing oral hypoglycemics.
• IT literacy, including familiarity with Primary Care systems.
• Full driving license.
