A leading hospital in Shrewsbury seeks a dynamic Diabetes Podiatrist to join their multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing specialized care for patients with complex diabetic foot problems in a supportive environment. Join us to make a meaningful difference in patient care.
Join us to apply for the Diabetes Podiatrist role at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.
We are seeking a dynamic, industrious, and flexible Podiatrist to join a progressive and forward-thinking team dedicated to improving care for people with diabetes in Shropshire.
The post holders will be based within the purpose-built diabetes centre at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, with a satellite clinic at the Princess Royal Hospital, providing inpatient and outpatient services, including the MDfT service. You will work within our busy 5-day-a-week multidisciplinary diabetes foot clinic, engaging in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with diverse clinical needs. Clinical time will be spent working with the multidisciplinary diabetes foot team to provide integrated care for outpatients and inpatients with acute and complex diabetic foot problems.
We invite applications from Band 6 level podiatrists who are eager to deliver highly specialized podiatry treatment to individuals with active foot disease within a hospital setting.
The main responsibilities include providing specialist foot care for patients with complex, high-risk foot issues, including diabetic patients with acute and chronic wounds, and those with neuropathic and vascular complications. The post holder will be clinically responsible for managing a high-risk caseload autonomously and as part of the multidisciplinary team.
