Our friendly team is looking for a new member to join the them, this is a newly developed role as a Diabetes and Endocrinology Support Worker based predominantly at Northwick Park Hospital. Support the delivery of the Diabetes & Endocrinology service to patients both in the
inpatient and outpatient setting.
o Work under the supervision of the Diabetes & Endocrinology Specialist Nurses and will be responsible for an agreed specific caseload of Dynamic Endocrine Testing including administration aspects.
o Work under the supervision of the Diabetes Pump Specialist Nurses and will be responsible for an agreed specific caseload of patients initiating diabetes technologies such as continuous glucose monitoring, including administration aspects and funding pathways.
o Liaise with MDT and the Diabetes and Endocrine medical team to improve uptake to the Diabetes Virtual Ward at ward level and support technical aspects of onboarding.
o Support in the delivery of training and education in Diabetes & Endocrinology, raising awareness of safe practice amongst ward staff.
o Provide administrative support for the DAFNE & Insulin Pump Service cross site.
