Overview

DevSecOps Lead • Permanent opportunity • On site in Basingstoke • DV cleared role • £78,000 - £104,000

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of the DevSecOps toolchain (CI/CD pipelines and integrated security tooling) and associated processes, ensuring they are delivered and utilised effectively.
• Own significant parts of the Solution, develop automation scripts, write Build Automation scripts (Ansible) and IaC (Terraform), and configure/build CI/CD pipelines.
• Advise on use of DevOps tooling, best practices, and secure engineering processes. Align DevOps adoption with Engineering processes and the Customer requirements.
• Work with the DevSecOps Tech Lead (MSL), Managed Service Teams and Engineering Process Lead to drive usage and implementation of DevOps tooling to enable secure build and test automation.
• Develop and document reusable automation scripts and IaC artefacts to assist various teams on the project.
• Act as an evangelist and advisor on the use of DevOps tools and automation technologies.
• Provide technical leadership by defining, prioritising, and delivering work with the team, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to planning and progress reporting.
• Define support approaches with the Service/Support Team and engage with other teams on tooling usage and dependency management.

What you’ll work with

• SCA/IAST/DAST tooling (e.g., Black Duck, Coverity, Codesight, JFrog, Snyk)
• Automated Test tooling (ideally Selenium / Robot Framework)
• Test Management Tools (Azure Test Plans)
• Secure Secrets Management (Azure DevOps and HashiCorp Vault)
• Version control with Git

Experience & Requirements

• Significant experience in the implementation/configuration/usage of the listed tools and practices
• Software development background
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with DevSecOps tooling and practices; technical leadership
• Preferably experience in agile, sprint-based lifecycles and working with Windows and Linux operating systems
